Urban Hydroponics - Horticultural Lighting
When buying hydroponic grow lamps there are many different types available, these range from high pressure sodium, metal halide, blended bulbs and fluorecsents. Metal halide are recommended for the vegative stage as they are rich in the blue side of the spectrum, this will provide lush, vigorous green growth. Sodiums on the other hand are rich in the red side of the spectrum, and are therefore ideal promoting fruits and flowers. There are also blended bulbs, which are sodium lamps but with 40%more blue than standard sodium bulbs, these therefore can be used all the way through the plants life. There are also flourescent lights which are ideal for bringing on seedlings and cuttings.

All lights come complete with a son-t bulb, ballest and reflector. If you would like to change the bulb for an alternative e.g metal halide please ask staff for details. All Ikon units include a 3 year guarantee.
